1. Introduction

Iman Track is a Muslim habit tracking app that helps users log their daily prayers, fasting, and other spiritual practices. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

2. Information We Collect

Personal Data

Iman Track stores all data locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers. The data you enter (prayer logs, fasting records, settings) stays on your device.

Location Data

If you enable location services, we use your coordinates solely to calculate accurate prayer times for your current location. Coordinates used for prayer calculations are stored locally on your device. If you search for a city by name, the app may use Apple's geocoding service to resolve that city to coordinates. We do not send prayer logs or journaling data to external servers.

Notification Permissions

If you enable prayer time notifications, we use local notifications to remind you at prayer times. No personal data is sent to any notification service.

User Reports and Media Attachments

If you choose to report a bug or request a feature, the app prepares a report text block (type, details, app version, iOS version, timestamp) and opens the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent by us automatically; you choose where to share it (for example, Mail or Messages). If you attach an image or video, media access is used only for the item you selected.

3. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used solely to:

• Calculate accurate prayer times based on your location
• Display your prayer and fasting history
• Provide insights and statistics about your spiritual practices
• Send prayer time notifications if you enable them
• Allow backup and restore of your data
• Check if a newer app version is available on the App Store
• Let you export user reports through the iOS share sheet when you choose to do so

4. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData. We do not use any cloud services or external databases. Your data is protected by the security features of your device.

You can export your data to a JSON file at any time from Settings for backup purposes. When you restore from a backup, the data is imported directly to your device.

5. Third-Party Services

Iman Track does not sell your data and does not transmit your prayer/journal logs to our own servers. The app may call Apple services needed for selected features:

• Adhan Swift library (for offline prayer time calculations)
• Apple's built-in Islamic Calendar API (for Hijri date conversion)
• Apple's CoreLocation (for optional GPS-based location)
• Apple geocoding lookup (for city-name search to coordinates)
• Apple App Store lookup endpoint (to check if a newer app version is available)
• Apple Photos Picker and iOS Share Sheet (only when you attach/share a report)

Any data shared through the iOS share sheet is controlled by you and governed by the destination app/service you choose.

6. Children's Privacy

Iman Track does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app is designed for general audiences tracking their spiritual practices.

7. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your data:

• Access: All your data is visible within the app
• Correction: You can edit any entry from within the app
• Deletion: You can delete individual entries or clear all data from Settings
• Export: You can export your data to a JSON file

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
